Each build starts with a robust M5 alloy frame and durable alloy wheels. Every STATUS 2 undergoes a specialised shock tune by the Specialized Ride Dynamics team, who are passionate about mountain bike suspension. The shock characteristics are meticulously adjusted to perfectly complement the new Status 2’s kinematics.

Each STATUS 2 model includes flip chips neatly placed on the Horst pivot link near the rear axle. These allow riders to fine-tune the frame’s geometry to match their preferred ride or terrain. Bikes come set in the high position but can be flipped for a lower and slacker setup, resulting in an 8mm lower bottom bracket and a half-degree slacker head tube angle.
