Speed metal. Thanks to D’Aluisio Smartweld technology, the Chisel boasts the lightest aluminium XC frameset in its class. Each frame tube is meticulously crafted with continuously varied wall thicknesses and shaping, providing stiffness for efficiency and ride-smoothing compliance for comfort and optimal control.

Unmatched capability. With 110mm of Ride Dynamics-tuned suspension, the Chisel inherits its high-performance pedigree from the Epic 8, Specialized's World Cup race machine. The advanced suspension kinematics, tuned suspension, and progressive geometry from the Epic 8 ensure the Chisel handles varied terrain with confidence and speed.

Incredible efficiency. The Chisel is the most efficient pedaling bike in its class, utilising the same geometry and kinematics as the World Cup racing Epic 8 platform. The steep seat tube optimises the pedaling position, and refined anti-squat design reduces pedal-bob, converting every watt into maximum forward motion.

Smoother is faster. Engineered with a flex stay rear end for class-leading suspension performance, the Chisel eliminates the extra weight and maintenance associated with traditional pivots. Extensive field and lab testing prove that the Chisel achieves the efficiency, control, and lightweight of a flex stay design, all in an advanced alloy frame.

Hydroformed alloy. The Chisel features a one-piece hydroformed seat tube that integrates the seat tube pivot, main pivot, and BB shell, shaving off extra material and weight. Unlike traditional bikes, where the seat tube is just a "tube" with pivots and BB shell welded on, the Chisel's design is more integrated and efficient.
