Easton Direct Mount Chainrings: Precision for Road, CX, and Gravel
Easton's direct mount chainrings are designed with a new narrow/wide tooth profile specifically for road, cyclocross (CX), and gravel biking. The innovative directional tooth design ensures positive chain engagement, enhancing chain retention and preventing slip and bounce on rough terrain.
Featuring taller teeth, these chainrings are compatible with setups that do not require a chain guide or clutch derailleur. The wide-tooth material has been strategically removed to reduce noise and drag, especially when operating at the extreme edges of the cassette. Additionally, the chainring’s base has been optimized for superior mud shedding and chain retention in muddy CX conditions.
The chainring attaches to the Cinch interface with an asymmetric four-arm design, providing larger, stiffer arms in high-torque zones and thinner arms where less torque is experienced. This design reduces overall weight while maintaining strength and stiffness where it's needed most.
- Cinch Direct Mount System: Simplifies swapping between different ring sizes or configurations and saves weight by eliminating extra material and hardware.
- Optimal Chainline: 47mm chainline with Easton’s 129mm spindle, ideal for 135/142mm rear hub spacing, ensuring efficient power transfer and minimal noise across all gears.
- Enhanced Mud Shedding: Improved tooth design for better chain retention and performance in muddy conditions.
Upgrade your bike with Easton’s direct mount chainrings for superior performance, durability, and ease of maintenance in any riding condition.
