Every Status 2 build starts with a super strong M5 alloy chassis and durable alloy wheels. Featuring robust suspension, powerful brakes, and popular drivetrain options, these bikes are designed to absorb big hits, pedal smoothly, and offer reliable stopping power. The Status 2 is crafted for riders who push the limits and crave progression, not for those counting grammes.

Before arriving at your doorstep or local bike shop, each Status 2 receives a specialised shock tune from the Specialized Ride Dynamics team, experts in mountain bike suspension. The shock characteristics are meticulously adjusted to perfectly complement the Status 2’s kinematics.

Each Status 2 model includes flip chips neatly placed on the Horst pivot link near the rear axle. These allow riders to fine-tune the frame’s geometry to match their preferred ride or terrain. Bikes come set in the high position but can be flipped for a lower and slacker setup, resulting in an 8mm lower bottom bracket and a half-degree slacker head tube angle.
