Whether you’re aiming to escape on gravel backroads away from cars and crowds, toe the line at your first gravel race, or simply find the most versatile bike for both road and dirt, the new Specialized Diverge Gravel Bike is the perfect choice. It’s the fastest, most capable, and perhaps the most fun alloy bike Specialized have ever created, offering a ride that is both quick and lively, yet stable and confidence-inspiring on rough terrain. With all-new gravel geometry and best-in-class tyre clearance, the Diverge embodies over 40 years of experience in road, gravel, and dirt riding. It represents a bold new chapter in the gravel bike category, encouraging you to dream up new adventures. It’s truly the ultimate getaway vehicle.
The Diverge Elite E5 features a premium E5 alloy frame and a full carbon FACT fork, delivering a fast, confident, and comfortable ride across roads, dirt paths, and thick gravel. Shimano’s GRX 400 2x10 group provides smooth shifting for any terrain, while Axis Elite alloy wheels with 38mm Pathfinder tyres offer an efficient ride on pavement with the versatility needed for hard-packed dirt riding.
Specialized's Premium E5 Aluminium frame offers a stiff, lightweight, and durable platform, which, combined with the full carbon FACT fork, makes the Diverge E5 a nimble and versatile bike ready for any surface.
Specialized have redefined gravel bike geometry with the new Diverge, featuring the most progressive design they’ve ever created for a drop bar bike. This new geometry provides stability and confidence on dirt while remaining responsive and agile on the road. The frame’s reach has been increased, a slacker head tube has been introduced, and a longer offset fork has been added. This design delivers a planted feel on rough terrain while shorter stems maintain a lively steering response. The low bottom bracket enhances stability but is high enough to accommodate 650b wheels for added versatility.
The Diverge is equipped with ample rack mounts, including options on the fork and top tube, so you can carry everything you need for long journeys or extended rides.
Tyre clearance is a key feature of the new Diverge, offering an impressive 47mm clearance with a 700c wheel and 2.1” with a 650b wheel. Thanks to a drive-side chainstay design with a solid carbon beam behind the chainrings, Specialized have achieved this clearance without a fragile dropped chainstay design or increasing the chainstay length.
